Strand of the Ancients Achievements, Part 2

If you were with us yesterday, you got a taste of some of my PvP achievement sharing. If not, check out that rant from yesterday!

Basic run down of Strand of the Ancients. Strand of the Ancients is a high-speed zerg style battleground. Players use demolishers (large vehicles) to attempt to work their way up the strand by breaking down walls and getting to the relic chamber. The first attacker sets the time for the defender to have to beat. For example, if the Horde is attacking first and they reach the relic chamber in 6 minutes, the timer for the Alliance when they attack is 6 minutes. If the Horde attacks first but doesn't get to the relic chamber, the Alliance would then have the full 10 minutes that the Horde had to get to the relic chamber.

Yesterday, we discussed the first half of the achievements from Strand of the Ancients. Today, we're going to look at the last batch.

Drop it/Drop it Now! These two achievements are sort of related. The "carrying seaforium" is actually shown as a buff, so you will be able to see who is carrying the seaforium bombs. It looks like a stick of dynamite.

Fari's hot tip: Work on this pair of achievements at the same time as you're working toward Ancient Protector/Ancient Courtyard Protector. Part of the attacking strategy for SotA is to get the top gate down and carry bombs with you so you can run the rest of the way to the relic chamber door. So, a lot of people you will be killing in the courtyard will likely have seaforium bombs on them.

Defense of the Ancients. Exactly one of my characters has this... my hunter. And if you know me at all, that's just a groan. I don't like playing hunters. It's not easy.

Fari's hot tip: This is luck. And a lot of CC's. Keep those attackers backlogged on the beach for as long as you can.

The Dapper SapperExplosives Expert. These are the opposite of the "Drop it!" achievements. Done while attacking, the point is to damage doors with the bombs. Bombs are located near every graveyard location and at the workshops in between the first and second set of doors.

Fari's hot tip: I've not tried for these, but from what I've read, the best way to do it is to make your whole team go after one door, while you grab bombs and bomb at the other door. Otherwise, doors go down too fast and you can't catch up. Otherwise, plant bombs (and make sure they explode!) whenever you get the opportunity. I'd make the assumption this is easiest on a rogue or druid.

Not Even a Scratch. This, like Defense of the Ancients, is a heck of a lot of luck and skill. Make sure that you've got coordination, and you can get your demos up the hill without getting... well, demolished.

Fari's hot tip: Lots of luck to you, friend. I haven't gotten it yet.

Artillery Veteran/Artillery Expert. I'm a big fan of playing with machines. Whether it's the demos in the first part of Ulduar, controlling the Giant in Zul'Drak, or being the gunner on the Loot Ship in ICC, I love playing with machines. The turrets are machines. I like to go pewpew with them.

Fari's hot tip: Whenever you can, grab a turret. Shoot those things down as quickly as you can and keep doing it. Whenever you have to fall back? Grab another turret. I got this on Fari as a fluke while constantly grabbing turrets to use.

Do you have any other tips for getting Strand of the Ancients achievements? Share some in the comments!

I have no idea what we're going to do tomorrow, but make sure to come back here to check out what other achievements we're going to talk about then!

Well Met!
